Yesterday was my birthday - I'm now 28 years old. As usual, I don't really feel any older or more mature. I am hopeful though for this year to be better than my 27th. Overall, the day was pleasant and enjoyable. My mom came up for lunch and bought me a beautiful necklace and earrings from African Adorned. We also spent some time browsing a couple of books at Borders. Then Mir took me out to a wonderful dinner at Tellers. We had an amazing appetizer - a salt cod baccala with fried polenta sticks - and a equally delicious main course - Penne with Salmon and Asparagus in a lemon butter and cream sauce. Then for dessert, of course , we had Teller's amazing Tiramisu and a shot of espresso. The above picture was taken at dinner (*props to Mir for an amazing photo! I love the contrast in it!) Then we headed over to Henry's where, surprisingly, quite a few people joined me and Mir for my birthday. I had a great time talking to Pepe, Rich, Bridget, Aaron and Steph. It was a late night, but totally worth it!
